Sisters of Battle take to the table!

This Sunday I'm taking the sisters of battle to the table once again. This will be my first game with them since the new rules. I spent some time writing up my list and I'm liking so far how they are looking. More models and more tank!






First I had to come up with a 2000 point list. I do not know what army Zach ( of Independent Characters podcast fame) will choose as he has several to pick from. Also unknown is what mission we will play. Their was talk of maybe the new SoB battle missions too.

I have a plan on what I want to run, and after pulling out my figures and looking at what was possible, I wrote the list.

Battle Sister Squad (10)- multimelta, flamer, rhino

Dominion Squad (5)- 2x melta, combi melta, immolator with multimeltas

Retributor Squad (5)- 4x heavy bolters, immolator with heavy bolters

So I have 3 scouting units with twin MM and a squad of melts inside. Two exorcist putting 2d6 ap1 str 8 missiles down range. Some good HB fire and it can rend if using faith.

I have 2 very good hand to hand units in the Conclaves, and 3 sturdy scoring units. Army has alot of models, 70, and alot of tanks, 9 rhino chassis and 2 armour 13s.

How does this compair to my old lists? I'm gaining rhinos by 3, gaining 2 hand to hand units, but loosing some tie up units. I am gaining 3 scouting units.

The scouting is the big addition. Now I can get across the board and hit some tanks. My biggest obstacle in the past was my meltas walking after getting derhinoed. Now I'm able to alpha strike or outflank them if needed.
