Last October 2010, I started this blog to help me stay motivated to paint my Crimson Fists. With one page view that first month, we now come to 2011 and this October we will set a new record for the blog with our highest number of pageviews to date! We will also cross the 15k in views all time!
I have to admit, I'm pretty proud of this. I never started this for other people but as a motivational tool for myself. But having people come up to me at tournaments and tell me they read something I wrote and get something positive out it, has changed what this blog is for me.
This hobby really is about meeting people and hanging out with friends. Blogs and forums help spread this hobby to remote areas.
This year has seen our fist regional GT. Now I hear Tim on podcasts I listen to talking about next year. I have to admit, it's pretty cool.
This year has seen my gaming group change too. No longer with my old group (good luck to the PSP Gamers), I have had to branch out and find new players. In the end I have made new friends, and helped a couple new players start their armies. I have also had battle reports of my games with Zach aired on the IC podcasts! Now if only I could win one or two vs him! I also made it into the final 8 for the House of Paincakes Blogger Idol contest.
Next year looks to be big. Hopefully Adepticon will be in the works and the 2012 Bugeater GT is a definite. My Crimson Fists will pretty much be done, and new projects will be started. Sister's of Battle will be touched up and maybe repainted totally. New codex's will be coming out and maybe even a new edition of 40k!
So I'll keep writing as long as someone is reading.
Pop the bubbly cause year two of 2 cents on 40K has started!!!
Congratulations on a year of blogging. Hope it keeps you motivated and increasing the community along the way
