WIP Wednesday: Crimson Fist Paintathon!

WIP Wednesday is back! The holidays and a store remodel at work killed my free time and a fried computer didn't help either. This week I made great progress towards my Con of the North Crimson fists list. I'm also soaking 14ish sisters of battle in simple green.

So onward to the WIP pictures and a review of this week...

SM Vulcan List for CotN

I decided to take a break from painting my Crimson Fists for a few minutes and thought I would throw my list for Con of the North up for review. Con of the North is a three game classic RTT style tournament with super beautiful terrain and armies to match.

Looks like I will have to get the 25th anniversary model GW will be putting out in finecast. The banner alone is a must have for my Crimson Fists!

Road trip Sioux Falls

So for the second straight weekend, I was able to make the 2 hour trip to Sioux Falls for some gaming at Universal Bits and Games. This time a group of buddies came with and we picked up another along the way. We picked last weekend due to their slow grow league was meeting and playing and the store would be hopping with activity.

Know No Fear

My 40k hobby has consisted of two facets in recent years. There is the hobby/miniature part with the totally awesome games, and there is the books and the Horus Heresy series. I was so excited when I saw some info on the next book in the series, that I had to throw up the snippet on the old blog.

The Holidays are over!

The Holidays are finally over. My life can get back into the regular routine. That means more hobby time!! And it starts today! Also WIP Wednesday will be back on.....................Wednesday with today's hobby progress too. On the bench today is a new Vulcan list for Con of the North in February. I'm also starting project "Girls Gone Wild". This is my stripping, um and repainting of my Sister's of Battle army for the 2012 Bugeater GT!

Later this week I will post up my thoughts and list for Vulcan and scouts. Happy New Year everyone! This should be a very good year for the Hobby with 6th edition coming and several new codexes.

Hopefully you will get some good modeling goodies. So far I have received 5 BL books, the Sisters of Sigmar for my Sisters of Battle conversion and one Jacobus miniature for the SoB army! I'm really pumped about the books. I got Age of Darkness and Outcast Dead so I can catch up on my Horus Heresy series.

New Store Grand opening! Sioux Falls

I'm a little late getting this posted up. Hopefully Lloyd will forgive me, but life was happening. Good news for the Sioux Falls area as a new FLGS will be opening this weekend! Universal Bits and Games will open their doors this weekend to fulfill you every gaming need.

Of coarse the Chaos Gods are fickle and I work all weekend......................

Scouts: First stop, meat and potatoes!

Just a quick article today to get some thoughts flowing on scouting units. I want to  concentrate tonight on what options to take in the unit. I will be playing Sisters of Battle Dominions and Space Marine Scouts, so these two will take up my thoughts...
