Heroes of Armageddon Winners anounced!!

The winners have been drawn for this awesome event!

Ard Boys List thoughts.

Here is the list I have been tossing around for Ard Boys this year. Looks like there will be lots of horde players, so I'm banking on Vulcan to lead the way!!

WIP Wednesday

WIP Wednesday will be a series of articles on Wednesday, where I'll list what I'm working on and my plans for the weekend ahead. This week I have shots of some stuff for my Ard Boyz list, a homemade conversion of my Cato Sicarious, and a special kit I'm putting together for fun.

Time; How it affects your build and playstyle.

Time is always moving forward. We are always playing against time in a tournament. How does time influence how you build your list? Does it even influence your list? Can time change how we are playing the game?

In the end, it's just a game of toy soldiers.

In the end, it's just a game of toy soldiers. This is the phrase I have to remind myself of before games and before I open my mouth to argue rules disputes. I am a very competitive person, and while I do not stomp off after loosing a game, I really hate loosing.

A byproduct of me being competitive is I like to argue my point if I think I'm right. It's almost a mini game to me sometimes, it's my Mr Hyde. I have won a good number of sportsmanship awards and I have been scored low for rules questions or enforcing the 1 inch rule. Reminding myself of that phase has been a huge help in remembering the Dr Jekyll in me.

How does this pertain to you? Well, maybe it doesn't, maybe it does. The more I read on the Interwebs the more I think we all loose sight of what and why we play. Just remember, in the end, it's just a game of toy soldiers.

My 2 cents......

Time and 40k, part 1

Time......... This is the one opponent that always wins. Always marching on, always a part of the game. How does time affect your lists, your play style, the moves you make. How much time do you need to play?

This will be a two part series on time.

The "Pedro Bubble" list, what is it?

Pedro Kantor of the Crimson Fists.

The Pedro Bubble list, you have probably never heard of it. I'm not surprised, since Pedro is looked at as the second or third best choice for special characters in the space marine codex. Most would rank Vulcan and even Lysander ahead of the Crimson Fist's chapter master. What people over look is Pedro's +1 attack bubble and what it can do to certain units.

Ard Boyz List Theory: Dual Landraiders

Picture property of Bols.

I'm sitting here tonight fleshing out my Ard Boyz list for next month. Right now I would like to run a dual Landraider list. I have a few reasons for wanting to run the "golden eggs".

1500 points of what?

Sunday there is a rtt up in Minneapolis at the former Misty Mountain store. I have thought about going up for it, but it is at a weird point limit, 1500. I don't mind playing 1500, but my Fists are really build for 1750+.

So I have 2 decisions to make, do I go and if so what army do I play. So this article will be about me simply thinking out load.

Bugeater GT 2011; Game 2 VS NIDS

Game 2 I found myself facing off against a Tyranid army played by Jamie Tigges. I have not played alot of games vs tyranids, so I made alot of mistakes. I will keep this short as there is not alot to be learned from my game...
